Who are the winners and losers with the entrance of Gaye Symington into the gubernatorial race?

Jill Krowinski and Gaye Symington

This could be a dynamic combination. Jill is the type of grassroots organizer that Symington needs to drag down Gov. Jim Douglas, who has a very talented team of politicos. The announcement of Krowinski as manager of Symington’s gubernatorial bid gave many Democrats hope for a real bare knuckle race.

Anthony Pollina

The entrance of Symington into the governors race basically ends Pollina’s chances of putting together the coalition of Democrats necessary to win. Earlier this year it looked as though Polina could have had a clean shot at Douglas. He was seen raising money and building a good campaign structure. Now, it looks as though he may return to his traditional position as spoiler.

Jill is a winner because she gets to (by default, I'm sure) manage the camapaign of the weakest candidate the Dems have run against Douglas?
