Vermont House Speaker Gaye Symington (D) made it official Saturday as she closed the legislative session: She will not be returning to the House.
With that move, it is looking more and more likely that Symington will announce a bid to challenge Gov. Jim Douglas (R). Speculation continues as to who will replace Symington. A veto session is planned for June 26. We should see heavy politicking among House members in the interim.
